Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, conducting preliminary testing, and learning to use pretest equipment.

Training will be provided as you join our team and contribute to a best-in-class patient experience. This role requires some weekend and evening shifts and offers a wage range of $16.10 to $22.20 per hour, with pay compliant to state/local laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math understanding.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented approach working with optometrists.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for pre-exam screening.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and support staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during appointment.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings with the doctor.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
