Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary tests, and taking measurements. No optical experience is required, as training and tools are provided to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

The wage range is $16.00 to $20.50 hourly, with shifts including some weekends and evenings. You will work under the Office General Manager and collaborate with the Doctor(s) to ensure patient comfort and

Qualifications

• Personable and patient with the ability to comfort patients.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
