Job summary

MyEyeDr. seeks an Optometric Technician to assist Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing, and learning to use pretest equipment. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic math.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver a seamless patient experience.
