Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements, preparing patients for visits. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required to accommodate patient care.

You will help manage patient flow, document medical history, and operate pretest equipment to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient, with ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for prep of Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during the visit.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings before the doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
