Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring a smooth flow in the clinic.

Training will be provided for all necessary pretest equipment and procedures. You will join a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality vision care, with weekend/evening shifts required at times and opportunities for career growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic math skills.
• Personable and patient-friendly, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Thorough and detail-oriented, works closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optics, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training and other preliminary testing where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure seamless patient experience.
