Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to assist Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing and measurements, and supporting the patient experience. Training and tools are provided; some weekend/evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to understand basic math
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for optometrist exam
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing
• Collaborate with doctor and team for a seamless patient experience
