Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements to prepare patients for visits. No optical experience is required as training will be provided to learn pretest procedures and visual screenings.

This role involves assisting with patient flow, ensuring comfort during procedures, and learning to operate pretest equipment. Weekend and evening shifts may be required as part of a collaborative, patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to understand basic math is expected.
• Prior healthcare/optical background is helpful but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during the appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
