Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry, preparing patients for visits and conducting preliminary tests. Training will be provided for those new to optics, and some weekend/evening shifts are required to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, a personable and patient demeanor, and a willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services. Prior healthcare or optical background is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other prelim testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
