MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary tests, and learning pretest equipment to ensure a smooth exam flow. Training will be provided in optical procedures and patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; basic math ability.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented; will work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred, but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and office staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide a seamless patient experience.
