Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided to learn about the industry and equipment.

You will document patient history, help manage patient flow, perform pretest screenings, and assist with contact lens training, working with the team to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for Optometrist exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
