Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing, and learning pretest equipment. Training will be provided for the right candidate, with some weekend and evening shifts required to ensure a seamless patient experience.

You will work closely with doctors and staff to document medical history and maintain smooth patient flow, contributing to high-quality vision care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn medical terminology and optometry workflow.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow between reception, exam rooms, and doctors.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during screening.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
