Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements to prep patients for exams. Training will be provided for all required pretest equipment and procedures, with occasional weekend and evening shifts as part of the role.

You will help ensure a smooth patient flow, document medical history, and assist with contact lens training where applicable, contributing to a best-in-class patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; basic math understanding.
• Personable, patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings prior to doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
