Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to assist Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and learning to use pretest equipment. Training will be provided; some weekend and evening shifts are required to support patient care.

The role involves charting medical history, assisting in exam prep, and ensuring patient comfort with procedures while contributing to a best-in-class vision care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and services.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and complaints for pretreatment.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will undergo.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor and team for a seamless patient experience.
