Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements, helping prepare patients for visits. Training is provided, and no optical experience is required.

The role emphasizes a smooth patient flow and a high-quality, compassionate experience. Weekend and some evenings are required. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, with a full benefits package and growth opportunities within the

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; basic math skills helpful.
Personable and patient with the ability to comfort patients during screening.
Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will be exposed to.
Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
Conduct contact lens training for eligible patients.
Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
