Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements that prepare patients for exams. Training will be provided for pretest equipment and visual screenings.

You will work with a collaborative team to ensure a smooth patient experience, educate patients on procedures, and assist with contact lens training when applicable. Weekend/evening shifts required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
