Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, including preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required.

You will gain hands-on experience with pretest equipment, assist with vision screenings, and learn to train patients in contact lens care while collaborating with a skilled team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and basic math ability.
• Personable and patient demeanor to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will encounter.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and perform preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
