Job summary

MyEyeDr. seeks an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary tests, and handling measurements. Training is provided, no optical experience required, with some weekend/evening shifts.

The role involves coordinating patient flow, learning pretest equipment, and assisting with contact lens training to ensure a smooth patient experience while contributing to a best-in-class vision-care journey.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Ability to document medical history and assist in prep for exams.
• Detail-oriented approach to support doctors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document conditions and complaints for prep to the Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will experience.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
