Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements before visits. No optical experience is required as training will be provided. Weekend and evening shifts may be required as part of this role.

You will help document medical history, ensure patient comfort, and assist in coordinating patient flow and pretest procedures under supervision of the Doctor(s). This is a hands-on role in a patient-focused eye care environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and patient with patients during screening and testing.
• Able to follow instructions and learn new procedures.
• Strong attention to detail to document medical history and prep for exams.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll undergo.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and preliminary testing as applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
