Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary tests, and taking measurements. Training will be provided for those new to the optical field. Some weekend and evening shifts are required to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

You will work under the Office General Manager and help maintain a smooth patient flow while delivering a best-in-class vision care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented mindset with ability to work closely with the optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they may encounter.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform a range of visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
