Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, including preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience required; training will be provided. Some weekend and evening shifts may be required.

You will learn to operate pretest equipment, perform visual screenings, and assist with contact lens training, while maintaining a smooth patient flow and collaboration with the optometry team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player providing the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide seamless patient experience.
