Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing, and gathering medical history.

Comprehensive training will be provided for all pretest equipment and visual screenings, with weekend and evening shifts required as needed. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and are personable, patient, and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background is preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
