Job summary

LensCrafters in Algonquin, IL seeks a Team Lead to deliver exceptional customer service in-store and, when applicable, in the lab. You will guide sales associates and ensure seamless optical and lab processes to drive store success.

The role requires strong optical knowledge, leadership experience, and excellent communication. You will fit prescriptions, supervise safety, and help develop staff while upholding LensCrafters' commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Strong optical and retail experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, sales and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with edging and mounting is a plus.
• Leadership and training experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure LensCrafters team provides unsurpassed customer service.
• Proactive, solution-driven execution and product knowledge.
• Assist customers with selections and recommend products; support sales associates.
• Serve as an alternate store key holder.
• In lab: custom fits and precise placement of prescriptions in lenses (if applicable).
• Strengthen knowledge and certification related to lens and lab processes.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment and proper lab/tool maintenance.
