Job summary

Stellar Virtual is seeking an English Learner (EL) Teacher for grades 6-12 in a multi-state virtual academy. The role delivers direct ELD instruction, administers language assessments, and collaborates with families, teachers, and leaders to ensure language development and compliance with EL requirements.

Responsibilities include progress monitoring, documenting outcomes, and participating in ILP meetings. The position is full-time, salary-exempt, with a remote, year-long program across multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years EL/ESL experience, grades 6-12; virtual teaching preferred.
• Strong knowledge of second language acquisition and language development.
• Understanding of federal/state EL requirements, service delivery, assessment and compliance.
• Experience administering language proficiency assessments and interpreting data.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ELD instruction to English Learners in grades 6-12 via live virtual instruction and small groups.
• Administer language proficiency assessments (e.g., ELPA21) per state/federal guidelines.
• Monitor student progress using data and adjust instruction to promote growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student services, assessments, and compliance documentation.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and language development.
