Job summary

Connections Education LLC is seeking an ELL Specialist for a term-of-project role serving Tennessee-based students remotely. The certified teacher will manage ILPs, screen ELL students, schedule WIDA testing, and collaborate with learning coaches and teachers to ensure compliant ILP execution.

This home-based position requires Tennessee residency, strong tech skills with Google/MS Office, and effective communication. Travel for state testing is occasional as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in ELL (K-12) required.
• Valid Tennessee ELL certification required.
• Strong technology skills with Google and Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching and strategies for a caseload of students.
• Identify and screen Potential ELL students.
• Develop, write and help implement ILPs.
• Schedule WIDA testing.
• Complete ELL DOE state reporting tasks.
• Evaluate tests and progress reports; conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches to ensure ILP goals are met.
• Coordinate ILP implementation with teachers and staff.
• Provide direct services to students via web-conferencing.
• Organize ILP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Assist teachers with program modifications for ILP students.
• Maintain ILP paperwork and procedures.
• Monitor exited LEP students during the monitoring period.
• Maintain accurate data in the school’s Education Management System.
• Assist with administering state testing and accommodations.
