Job summary

Ohio Connections Academy is seeking a certified ESL/TESOL teacher to work from home in Ohio, supporting English Language Learners across the virtual program. You will use telephone, internet, and curriculum tools to consult with learning coaches and students to help each child complete their instructional program.

You will organize WIDA Screener and WIDA ACCESS, participate in SOL/VALLSS testing, provide professional development, and collaborate with staff to tailor Personal Learning Plans for

Qualifications

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach ESL/TESOL in Ohio.
• Experience directly teaching ELL students.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Organize, administer, and score the WIDA Screener and WIDA ACCESS assessments.
• Assist with State Testing such as SOL, VALLSS, benchmark assessments, WorkKeys, WI$E.
• Provide regular communication with parents, students, and teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Support ELLs with synchronous lessons and grouping by proficiency, pushing into general education for support.
