Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner (Provider) for a 6-month PRN contract to deliver holistic, evidence-based care via remote technology. Work with a dedicated team to assess, diagnose, and manage health concerns for patients aged 18 months and up.

Ideal candidates hold an active, unrestricted state license and have 2+ years of relevant experience. Some markets may require bilingual skills, preferably Spanish, with access to EHR systems and remote-friendly infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted nursing licensure in any US state/district.
• Minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience or equivalent.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Initiative, problem-solving ability, adaptability and flexibility.
• Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision.
• Proficiency with information management and technology.
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Spanish language skills may be required in some markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients aged 18 months and older.
• Evaluate primary, acute, chronic, and transitional care patients; provide education and counseling.
• Provide patient counseling on contraception and STI prevention and medication management.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to inquiries.
• Document all patient care in an EHR per MinuteClinic policies.
• Coordinate care with internal and external colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
• Work with a care team including providers, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Work independently, prioritize, and advocate for patients.
