Job summary

Travelers in the United States is seeking an Inside Auto Appraiser to virtually inspect damaged vehicles, estimate repair costs, and determine actual cash value of total losses. You will work with direct repair partners and claim staff to ensure accurate, timely settlements and guidance on appraisal best practices.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, an active adjuster license if applicable, at least two years of auto damage appraisal experience, and strong skills with claims software and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Active adjuster license, where applicable.
• Two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess vehicle damage via virtual inspections.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software.
• Evaluate and settle vehicle total losses by determining actual cash value (ACV).
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops, customers, and third-party claimants.
• Identify pre-existing damage, prior repairs, and potential fraud indicators.
• Collaborate with Direct Repair partners, claim representatives, body shops, and vendors to coordinate repairs.
