Job summary

Colonial Group in Gorham, ME seeks a Tech-Advisor to support customer service at the auto service location. The role blends counter service and shop technician duties, following VIP processes to deliver a differentiated customer experience.

The candidate should have automotive service exposure, strong communication, and be prepared to pursue required ASE and TPM certifications as part of the role. Standard work week is five days and 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Safety comes first; follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist customers at the counter as a service writer and educate them about vehicle condition.
• Work in the shop as a technician when needed and complete services per VIP standards.
• Complete required training and certifications for both roles (service writer and technician).
• Contribute to customer engagement and higher billed hours through VIP processes.
• Learn VIP processes and execute essential duties as directed by the Service Manager.
• Maintain facility and equipment condition and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure compliance with service ethics, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with management to align with service standards and policies.
