Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Tech-Advisor to support VIP service standards and deliver an exceptional customer experience at our Windham location. The role includes counter service as a writer, shop technician responsibilities when needed, and a strong focus on safety and process adherence.

The position requires completion of relevant trainings, ASE certifications, and ongoing education to meet VIP program requirements, with a standard 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety and follow all safety policies.
• Assist customers at the counter as service writer; educate them about vehicle condition per MPI and VIP processes.
• Work in the shop as a technician when needed and complete services per VIP standards and procedures.
• Fulfill all required training and certification for both Service Writer and Installation Technician and perform duties of both.
• Aim for higher customer engagement and above-average billed hours as measured by VIP productivity.
• Learn VIP processes and be prepared to execute duties to deliver a better customer experience.
• Attend LMS and vendor trainings; obtain T.I.A basic tire service (BATS), TPMS, and ASE certifications; communicate effectively with the team.
