Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Tech-Advisor to support VIP’s mission by learning VIP culture and processes to deliver a superior customer experience. This role alternates between counter-based service writing and shop-based technician duties, with focus on safety, effective communication, and certification training.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, completing vehicle inspections, following VIP standards, and contributing to productive billed hours.

Qualifications

One year of related experience in automotive service field is preferred.
Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended.
ASE/C1– Service Consultant or related ASE certifications are desirable (as listed) to support role responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Prioritize workplace safety and follow all safety policies.
Assist customers at the counter as a service writer and educate on vehicle conditions based on MPI results.
Work as a technician when needed and complete services per VIP standards.
Complete relevant LMS and vendor trainings and pursue ASE certifications as listed.
Support the Service Manager in achieving targets and deliver a superior customer experience.
Attend off-site trainings as required and maintain clean, safe facility operations.
