Job summary

VIP is seeking a Service Writer who can help deliver an exceptional customer experience at our location. The role requires teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to VIP processes and safety standards to educate customers about vehicle conditions after MPI inspections.

Candidates should have automotive service exposure, a valid driver's license, and relevant ASE certifications or state licenses. The position follows a standard 40-hour week with an hourly pay structure, and ongoing

Qualifications

One year of related experience in automotive service field.
Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
Equipment Safety Certification.
ASE Certification C1- Service Consultant required.
ASE Certification P2- Parts Specialist recommended.
ASE Certification G1 - Maintenance and light repair recommended.
State Inspection License Required (where applicable)

Responsibilities

Serves customers by consulting with them, educating them about the vehicle condition based on MPI inspection results.
Ensures safety policies are followed and all safety training completed.
Aims for better than average customer engagement as measured by SAX score.
Learns VIP processes and executes essential duties to deliver a better customer experience.
Communicates effectively with the team during daily huddles and store meetings.
Maintains facility, equipment, and service desk readiness for daily operations.
Ensures compliance with the service Code of Ethics and regulatory procedures.
Communicates with management to ensure compliance with service standards and company policies.
