Job summary

VIP is seeking a Service Writer to deliver exceptional customer experiences and act as a trusted advisor for vehicle conditions. You will collaborate with the Service Manager and technicians to educate customers, schedule work, and uphold VIP standards throughout daily operations.

The role emphasizes safety, process adherence, and effective communication while supporting the team to achieve performance targets and a high SAX score.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
• ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant recommended.
• ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended.
• ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers and build relationships to explain vehicle conditions.
• Help the team execute VIP programs and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining safety, cleanliness and organization of the service area.
• Assist with scheduling, dispatching work orders and coordination with technicians.
• Support training and process education for customers and staff.
• Ensure facility and equipment maintenance and compliance with codes.
