Job summary

VIP Automotive seeks a Service Writer to support the Service Manager in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will educate customers on vehicle condition based on MPI results, help maintain service operations, and work toward VIP standards and safety policies.

You will complete LMS and vendor training, pursue ASE certifications, and communicate with the team during daily huddles and meetings. This role is full-time and on-site at our NH location.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Sound business sense with ability to analyze, prioritize and implement solutions.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• A comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry.
• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license in residence state.
• ASE Certification C1 - Service Consultant required.
• ASE Certification P2 - Parts Specialist recommended.
• ASE Certification G1 - Maintenance and light repair recommended.
• State Inspection License Required (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Serve customers by consulting with them and educating them about vehicle condition based on MPI results.
• Aim for above-average customer engagement as measured by SAX score.
• Learn and execute duties as assigned by the Service Manager to deliver a better customer experience.
• Complete LMS and relevant vendor training and achieve required ASE certifications.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and cleanliness to meet safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure compliance with service ethics, policies, and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the team during daily huddles and store meetings.
• Assist in daily preparation and secure operations at close of business.
• Perform other duties as required.
