ABB seeks a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, sales channels, and product teams. The role includes VFDs, 3-phase power, wiring, and connectivity, with a hybrid work model in New Berlin, WI and remote options across the United States.

Responsibilities include driving fault isolation, programming, and integration tasks; collaborating with engineering and service teams; documenting cases in Salesforce and staying current with VFD tech

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant Electrical, Technical experience OR associate's degree and 6 years of relevant Electrical, Technical experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant Electrical, Technical experience required.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work. REQUIRED.
• Understand principles of electricity and apply them in troubleshooting drives.
• Ability to respond to inquiries in English (verbal and written) and be computer-literate.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support via phone & email for common problems related to low voltage VFDs, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with the warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorization.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
