Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager (Royal Canin) based in Fredericksburg, VA. This field-based role covers the Alexandria, Arlington and Charlottesville area, and you must live within the territory with 20-30% travel.

You will drive the Vet BU strategy, translate clinic data into opportunities, and build relationships with clinic decision-makers. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of B2B sales, plus a driver’s license and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and growth opportunities.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the territory.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with BU, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared goals.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy across the region.
• Work in a cross-functional, dynamic team and adapt to changes.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies based on needs.
• Manage expense and sales budgets; complete CRM calls, expense reports, and presentations promptly.
