Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Fredericksburg, VA area to execute the Vet BU strategy and achieve clinic-driven sales within an assigned territory.

The role is field-based with 20-30% travel, requiring strong communication, relationship-building with clinic decision-makers, and cross-functional collaboration. A bachelor’s degree and sales experience are preferred, with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic needs to grow clinics in the territory.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations for Veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet shared objectives and drive sales strategy.
• Build partnerships and work with others to meet objectives across BU and organization.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Work in a cross-functional team within a fluid, changing environment.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expense and sales budgets and complete reports accurately.
