Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to cover the Frederick, MD territory. The role requires field-based work and travel up to about 30%, with responsibilities to expand clinic networks and drive Vet BU strategies.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of sales experience (B2B preferred), strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license. This position includes a company vehicle and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the needs of veterinary staff.
• Build strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across BU and organization.
• Collaborate with others to meet shared objectives and execute the veterinary sales strategy.
• Operate in a cross-functional team-based environment and adapt to change.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Line Manager and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
