Job summary

Small Door Veterinary is seeking a Veterinarian Recruiter to grow our network of clinicians across markets. You will build lasting relationships with veterinarians, travel to clinics, and guide candidates through the full hiring process with a high-touch, patient-centered mindset.

You’ll partner with regional leaders to forecast needs, design targeted outreach, and maintain a proactive pipeline that supports new openings while preserving culture and quality across our expanding practice network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with veterinary roles preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong sourcing and outreach skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with veterinarians in assigned markets and engage active and passive candidates.
• Travel to clinics and priority markets to understand talent and culture.
• Own the full hiring process for veterinarians, from sourcing to offer letter.
• Source creatively via direct outreach, industry networks, job boards, and social media.
• Deliver a white-glove candidate experience with on-site interviews and timely outreach.
• Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified veterinarians well before openings.
• Engage veterinary schools, alumni networks, and local communities with events and outreach.
• Partner with field leaders to forecast needs and align with business goals.
• Capture conversations and market insights to improve sourcing and pipeline health.
• Collaborate with recruiters to cover all hiring needs.
