Job summary

Southern Veterinary Center is seeking a friendly and organized veterinary receptionist to join our fast-paced, newly remodeled animal hospital. You will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere while keeping the front desk running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will multitask in a busy environment, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and be comfortable with veterinary software.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk or reception roles preferred in veterinary or medical offices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Spanish language skills are a plus and welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Checking clients and patients in and out
• Handling large cash and credit transactions accurately
• Communicating with pet owners in person and by phone
• Managing prescription refills and coordinating with our online pharmacy
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records

Southern Veterinary Center is a newly remodeled, fast-paced animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest level of care for cats and dogs. We are looking for a friendly and organized Part Time or Full Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

About The Role

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll help create a welcoming and professional atmosphere while keeping our busy front desk running smoothly.

Responsibilities Include

• Answering and directing phone calls
• Checking clients and patients in and out
• Handling large cash and credit transactions accurately
• Communicating with pet owners in person and by phone
• Managing prescription refills and coordinating with our online pharmacy
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records
• Supporting the veterinary team with daily administrative needs

Ideal Candidate

• Friendly, professional, and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software
• Previous veterinary or medical office experience is a plus
• Fluency in Spanish a plus!

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience. $14-$18

Schedule: 2-4 week days 7:30-5:30. 1-2 Saturdays a month 8:00-12:00.
