Job summary

Southern Veterinary Center is seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in Smyrna, TN. This part-time or full-time role is the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming, professional atmosphere and smooth front desk operations.

You will handle phone calls, client check-ins/outs, cash transactions, and coordination with our online pharmacy while maintaining accurate records and supporting the veterinary team.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with veterinary software or medical office software is a plus.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Southern Veterinary Center is a newly remodeled, fast-paced animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest level of care for cats and dogs. We are looking for a friendly and organized Part Time or Full TimeVeterinary Receptionist to join our team!

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll help create a welcoming and professional atmosphere while keeping our busy front desk running smoothly.

Responsibilities include

• Answering and directing phone calls
• Checking clients and patients in and out
• Handling large cash and credit transactions accurately
• Communicating with pet owners in person and by phone
• Managing prescription refills and coordinating with our online pharmacy
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records
• Supporting the veterinary team with daily administrative needs

Ideal Candidate

• Friendly, professional, and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software
• Previous veterinary or medical office experience is a plus
• Fluency in Spanish a plus!

Compensation

Competitive pay based on experience. $14-$18

Schedule

2-4 week days 7:30-5:30. 1-2 Saturdays a month 8:00-12:00.
