Job summary

Petco is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to lead the hospital’s daily operations and partner with the Hospital Veterinarian(s). This role partners with store teams to deliver high-quality client and patient experiences while aligning with Petco’s mission and values.

Responsibilities include managing paraprofessionals, coordinating schedules, overseeing inventory and invoicing, and driving revenue growth with a focus on cost control.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years previous experience in a veterinary practice or 2+ years of strong leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate tasks and drive results with hospital partners.
• Compassionate, professional demeanor under stress.
• Strong computer skills and telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operational excellence and patient care.
• Foster collaboration with veterinarians to build a positive culture and cohesive team.
• Schedule and manage day-to-day operations, equipment, inventory, and invoicing.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance of paraprofessional staff.
• Manage doctor schedules and hospital payroll considerations.
• Review financials and work with leadership to meet revenue targets.
• Coordinate with store teams to ensure seamless client experiences.
