Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Hospital Operations Manager to lead the veterinary hospital team, partner with veterinarians, and deliver high-quality patient care and exceptional client service across our hospital and Petco store ecosystem.

You will supervise paraprofessionals, oversee scheduling, hiring, training, and performance, review monthly financials, manage inventory, and ensure OSHA compliance while upholding Petco policies to create a seamless patient and client experience.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years previous experience working in a veterinary practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage scheduling, payroll and personnel
• Knowledge of practice management systems and inventory control

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operational excellence and high-quality patient care
• Coordinate relationships with veterinarians to foster a positive culture and cohesive team
• Oversee scheduling, hiring, training and performance reviews in partnership with HR
• Review P&L and manage payroll costs to support revenue growth
• Maintain hospital inventory and client/patient records in the PM system
• Uphold OSHA standards and ensure a clean, safe hospital environment
