Job summary

Petco is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to lead daily hospital operations, partner with the Hospital Veterinarian(s) and collaborate with store teams to deliver high-quality patient care and outstanding client service.

You will manage scheduling, payroll adherence, inventory, and financial targets, while coaching paraprofessional staff and maintaining OSHA compliance in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years veterinary practice experience or 2+ years leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage payroll, scheduling and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to ensure high-quality patient care and client experience.
• Coordinate with veterinarians to schedule appointments and manage staff availability.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance reviews for paraprofessionals.
• Manage scheduling to cover two weeks out and maintain attendance policies.
• Review monthly P&L with Area Ops Manager to boost revenue and control costs.
• Maintain OSHA standards and ensure a clean hospital environment.
• Collaborate with store teams to deliver seamless patient care.
