Job summary

Petco seeks a Veterinary Practice Manager to lead the hospital team, coordinate scheduling, inventory, and client communications, and collaborate with store partners to deliver exceptional pet care and customer service.

You will oversee staffing, training, and performance, manage accounts receivable, and ensure compliance with safety and hospital policies while driving financial performance and a positive client experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a veterinary practice, or 2+ years in a strong leadership role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate tasks and drive results.
• Must be a team player willing to adapt to change and support others.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operational excellence and patient care.
• Coordinate day-to-day functions including scheduling, equipment maintenance, inventory, invoicing, and client communication.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance management in partnership with HR.
• Review monthly P&L with the Area Operations Manager to support revenue growth.
• Ensure OSHA standards and maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.
