Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Hospital Operations Manager to lead the hospital team within our veterinary services environment. You will partner with veterinarians and store teams to deliver high-quality patient care and exceptional client service while driving revenue and controlling costs.

You will coordinate hospital operations, supervise paraprofessional staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA standards, contributing to a positive, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years previous experience in a veterinary practice or 2+ years of strong leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate tasks and drive results with hospital partners.
• Compassionate and sympathetic with professional demeanor under stress.
• Must be a team player willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operational excellence and patient care.
• Create collaborative relationships with veterinarians to foster a cohesive team.
• Oversee scheduling, inventory, invoicing, and client communication within the practice management system.
• Manage staffing: hiring, training, counseling, and performance reviews with HR partnership.
• Maintain doctor schedules and ensure payroll costs align with forecasts.
