Job summary

University West Pet Clinic in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Front Office Coordinator to join our busy animal hospital. You will be the first and last point of contact for clients, handling scheduling, records, and front desk duties with a focus on superior customer service.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to type at least 45 words per minute, a readiness to lift 35+ lbs, and availability on Saturdays. Veterinary software experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to type 45 words per minute or more.
• Ability to lift 35+ lbs.
• Customer service experience preferred; veterinary knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage appointment calendar.
• Fill medications and prescription diets as requested.
• Communicate with clients in various situations.
• Use veterinary software to retrieve records and print reports.
• Promote the hospital via social media accounts.
