Job summary

VCA CVS Carlsbad in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) to be the first contact for clients, both in person and over the phone. You will manage a busy front desk, schedule appointments, handle inquiries, and provide a supportive, empathetic experience for pet owners during their time of need.

• Experience in a client-facing role, preferably in veterinary or medical settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, staff, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage high-volume phone calls and emails; address questions and appointment requests.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, including emergencies and specialty visits; maintain patient records.
• Process payments and explain costs and billing clearly to clients.
• Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth communication between clients and medical teams.
• Resolve client concerns with tact and empathy while maintaining service quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area for a welcoming client experience.
