Job summary

Community Animal Hospital in Easton, Maryland is seeking a Client Service Representative to deliver outstanding service in person and over the phone while supporting our veterinary team. You will manage client communications, schedule and check-in/out, maintain accurate records, and help with payments and prescriptions in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with animals preferred; veterinary or animal care background valued.
• Basic computer proficiency, including practice-management software, email, and MS Office.
• Able to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and appointment management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; client-focused service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle animals up to 130 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly with professional, empathetic service.
• Complete patient check-in and check-out; liaise with staff on patient status.
• Maintain client communications via phone, email, and mail; follow-ups and reminders.
• Schedule, confirm, and route appointments; triage based on urgency.
• Explain hospital services, vaccinations, diagnostics, and aftercare to clients.
• Handle sensitive situations with tact (e.g., payments, test results).
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with billing and refunds.
• Support veterinarians and technicians; assist with clinical tasks as needed.
