Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project seeks a Benefits Services Manager to lead a service officer team in identifying veterans benefits and submitting claims with the DoD/VA. You will train staff, manage budgets, and drive performance while collaborating with VA partners.

You will represent the organization at events, maintain accreditation, and ensure timely outcomes for veterans’ benefits. A bachelor's degree and VA accreditation are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of veterans benefits advocacy experience as a VA accredited service officer.
• Three years of leadership and/or management experience.
• Proficient with VA/DoD benefits law and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a service officer team to identify veterans benefits and prepare claims for DoD/VA.
• Represent and advocate for veterans with claims and liaise with VA and partners.
• Maintain team training, budgeting, and performance coaching.
• Ensure timely completion of benefits claims and report trends to leadership.
• Provide staff training to maintain VA accreditation and program compliance.
