Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) seeks a Benefits Services Manager to lead a team of service officers in securing DoD and VBA benefits for veterans. You will oversee day-to-day operations, coach staff, manage training and budgeting, and collaborate with VA representatives and community partners.

The role emphasizes leadership, ethics, and mission alignment. You will drive timely and successful claims, stay current on benefits law, and represent WWP at public events.

Qualifications

• Five years of veterans benefits advocacy experience as a VA accredited service officer.
• Three years of leadership and/or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a service officer team of local and remote staff to identify veterans benefits and assist with claims.
• Lead the team as liaison between VA/DoD and veterans, providing advocacy for claims.
• Oversee caseload targets and provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Train and develop service officers; ensure VA accreditation compliance.
• Represent WWP at events and build partnerships with VA staff and community organizations.
• Meet or exceed timeliness and success goals for claims processing.
